Steven A. Davis, M.D.

Steven A Davis, MD, co-founded StemBioSys® in 2010 along with Dr. Xiao-Dong Chen. and today serves as Chief Medical Officer and Director. A practicing dermatologist, he founded the Dermatology and Laser Center of San Antonio. As Principal Investigator at the Dermatology Clinical Research Center of San Antonio he has performed some 200 clinical trials in the last 30 years for more than 60 companies including Abbott, Allergan, Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Genentech, Lilly, Novartis and Pfizer.

Dr. Davis is an adjunct professor of dermatology at UT Health San Antonio and a fellow of the American Academy of dermatology. His syndicated daily radio feature, “Speaking of Health,” aired on the CBS Radio network for 34 years.

He is active in San Antonio’s biomedical community as a Trustee of the San Antonio Medical Foundation, a founding member of BioMed SA who co-chaired the San Antonio Biomedical Asset Initiative, and Vice-Chairman of the Board of the non-profit Regenerative Medicine Foundation. He has a B.A. in economics from Yale University, received his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency at the University of California San Francisco Medical School.
