About your host, Travis J. Block, Ph.D.:

Travis attained a degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Rochester and went on to earn a PhD in biomedical engineering in the laboratory of Dr. Xiao-Dong Chen at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 2016, Travis received NIH funding to remain at the Health Science Center and continue his research. Currently, Travis is the Chief Technology Officer for StemBioSys and a partner with Et al BioCapital LLC, a board member of CARTOX LLC (a StemBioSys subsidiary), and an adjunct faculty in the Dental School at UT Health San Antonio and in the College of Engineering at UT San Antonio.
